My name is Aart Ketelaar, I am trained as a registered nurse (IC/CCU and ambulance), educationist and have a master's degree in human factors and system Safety.
In the complex system of health care, humans are part of cognitive systems. Working on resilient performance in the system changes the role of humans from the weakest link to that of a strong part of the system. Complexity requires a different way of approach, taking into account human factors and local rationality. From implementation to experimentation where the shop floor is not part of the problem, but part of the solution.
